Imagine this. It’s half-time intermission at the football game. You’ve purchased your 50/50 ticket and the announcer says, “The winning ticket will be drawn at the end of the game. You must be present to win.”
That is an incredible metaphor for any relationship. What does it mean to you to “win” in your relationship? More importantly, what, specifically, can you do now, to ensure you are “present”?
How do you stay present in your conversations with your sweetie?
What strategy do you use to “be present to win” and keep your mind totally focused in any situation – i.e. not thinking about other things or imagining what the other person is thinking/feeling?
